Training inclusive teachers to inspire every learner
Teacher Training
Building a skilled, inclusive music education workforce
To sustain and grow its impact, Music of Life invests in training new educators to work confidently in special education and inclusive music settings.
Training is embedded across all our programmes and includes:
Trainees quickly move from observation to leadership, often within months.
Shadowing and co-leading
Mentoring by expert staff
Online learning and peer support
Real classroom placements
A cycle of continuity
Music of Life’s training fills a vital gap in music education. Most musicians have little experience of Special Educational Needs (SEN) settings – we give them the skills and confidence to teach inclusively and make music accessible to every child.
Our model is built on strong mentorship and peer learning, combining expert guidance with hands-on practice. Trainees grow quickly, support one another, and learn directly from experienced practitioners.
The impact is lasting: many go on to long-term roles with Music of Life, creating a cycle where today’s trainees become tomorrow’s inclusive music leaders.
Our impact
A growing pool of trained musicians confident in SEN environments
Alumni now support delivery as trainee professionals
Trainees report stronger skills in inclusion, adaptation, and engagement
What’s next
Introducing formal accreditation options
Creating regional training hubs to reach more educators
Continuing to champion inclusion, creativity, and responsiveness in every session
