Music of Life is a national charity that empowers disabled children and young people through high-quality music-making.
We run choirs, classroom music sessions and instrument lessons that help students build confidence, improve their wellbeing, develop social skills, and gain qualifications. For over 20 years, our tailored programmes have helped young people unlock their potential and take steps toward brighter futures.

Music has a calming and uplifting effect on Hugh, helping him feel more confident, engaged, and able to express himself. Through Music of Life sessions and at home, he shows a clear love of music, using it to connect with others and communicate in a way that feels natural to him.
Through our Choirs in Special Schools programme, Isla Rose has grown in confidence, self-expression, and communication, using her love of music as a joyful creative outlet. The programme has helped her thrive both on and off the stage, giving her a space where she can truly be herself.
Abigail is becoming more confident and comfortable, now greeting others verbally each week and showing early signs of following structure within lessons.
