Our 2025 Annual Report & Accounts is now available

News

We are delighted to share our Annual Report & Accounts 2025, celebrating another year of growth, impact and opportunity for deaf and disabled children and young people across the UK.

2025 was our fifth consecutive record year, with more children accessing our specialist music programmes than ever before. Every week, our students developed confidence, communication, independence and creativity through inclusive, high-quality music-making opportunities delivered by expert practitioners.

A year of growing impact

Over the past year, Music of Life:

  • Supported 1,543 deaf and disabled children and young people through our programmes.
  • Delivered 46,290 individual music opportunities.
  • Expanded our Choirs in Special Schools programme, launching three new choirs in Brent.
  • Continued to grow our Music for Deaf Children programme, reaching more than 200 students across five specialist schools.
  • Increased access to specialist one-to-one music tuition, supporting 142 students through our Individual Lessons Programme.
  • Launched our new Young Leaders Programme, creating pathways for disabled young people into leadership, employment and the arts.
  • Continued our partnership with the Royal College of Music, helping train the next generation of inclusive music practitioners

Looking to the future

As demand for our work continues to grow, so does our ambition.

Our new 2026 to 2028 Strategic Plan focuses on strengthening the charity’s long-term sustainability, diversifying our income and ensuring even more deaf and disabled children can benefit from the life-changing power of music in the years ahead.

None of this would be possible without the generosity of our donors, funders, partners, schools, volunteers and supporters. Thank you for helping us create a world where every disabled child has the opportunity to experience the joy and lifelong benefits of making music.
