Fundraising for your charity can be great fun. Whatever you enjoy doing – from running a marathon to baking cakes, from a personal challenge to making a nomination at your child’s school, you can help us raise vital unrestricted funding and become part of our joint effort to improve lives through music.

Here are some of our recent success stories:

MUSIC OF LIFE TEAM RAISES OVER £6,000 AT THE ROYAL PARKS HALF MARATHON 2019

What a great privilege it was to organise again a team of runners for this year’s Royal Parks Half Marathon on October 13!

This year our team consisted of 10 wonderful runners, who made it to the finishing line despite the rainy weather. We are so proud of them!

Many runners chose us because they love music and have worked with children in other ways, we are blessed to welcome them to our community and share their joy and achievement!  It has been a privilege to get to know each of our runners individually and support them throughout their training and fundraising journeys.

This is the seventh year we have organised the run, and the level of runner and donor engagement has been phenomenal! What moved us more is the excitement and fun experienced by our runners, their tremendous faith in our mission and commitment to help our children truly touch our hearts.

My mum is a trustee for this incredible charity and her work with them inspired me to run the Royal Parks Half. Before the summer I was lucky enough to join mum on her visit to Frank Barnes School for Deaf Children. Witnessing first hand the high quality music lessons Music of Life provides to these children was my constant motivation while training. I admire the work this incredible charity and everyone involved does.

The event itself did not disappoint. The scenery was stunning and the atmosphere was incredible. Despite the rain and mud, the crowds were cheering loud and provided constant motivation. I gave it my all and achieved my aim to not stop running at any point. Thank you to Music of Life for all the hard work you do and for allowing me the opportunity to fundraise for you. I would happily do it again.

Running a half marathon was always something I thought I might get around to doing one day but as I’m not a runner, I couldn’t really see it happening.  When the opportunity arose to run and raise funds for such an inspiring cause I didn’t hesitate in signing up.

The many miles of training runs weren’t always easy but the thought of all the lovely people who had sponsored me and the good work the funds would support was really motivating.  It was great to be able to spread the word about Music of Life to people to heard about my training and those who sponsored me.

I was thrilled to finish, beat my target time and raise over £500 for this amazing cause.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to join the Royal Parks Half team.  I am definitely “a runner” now!

You don’t have to be musical to appreciate the power of music. I’ve been lucky enough to see some of the inspirational work that Music of Life has made possible so when an opportunity arose to help, I couldn’t say no!

It turns out you don’t have to be a good runner to finish the half marathon either! It was only thanks to the incredible support from the Music of Life team and a determination not to let down my sponsors that I managed to hobble around! I’d recommend the experience to everyone. You can do it!”

After 4 years absence, It was a big challenge for me to complete another royal park half marathon with my favourite charity – Music of life. I had terrible chickenpox few months ago, almost gave up this opportunity, but feel so good to overcome all the difficulties and cross the finish line in a massive smile.

NOMINATE MUSIC OF LIFE AS CHARITY OF THE YEAR AT YOUR LOCAL CHURCH, SCHOOL, SUPERMARKET OR IN YOUR WORKPLACE.

Music of Life’s work is a great case to promote. Our services provide direct benefits to young disadvantaged people, and it is easy to relate to our beneficiaries’ stories. We can arrange for our young musicians to come and perform for your audience (for example, at a Sunday service, a school concert or at a corporate canteen) to help you engage your local community in your fundraising efforts.
